My condolences to Yuri's family, his friends and the chess community. Very sad way to go! Way to young.

Because no one saw it. (At least I didn't see it. Maybe a couple hundred people saw it and were saddened but did not comment so the thread sank to the bottom.

I remember reading the article on Chessbase News. I seem to remember that he was making high-risk physical maneuvers on a high-rise balcony. the maneuvers have a name, but I don't remember what they're called.

Who is Yuri?

Why did you have to comment? You made me think Yuri Averbakh had died.

Funny how yuri was a fan of using noone instead of no one.  Following Pfren and Jen.

He was so young too.....way before his time.

It was very tragic, but I gotta say, he must have been missing the "safety" gene or something.

Also how can the OP be so good at blitz but suck at everything else? So many questions.

lotta armies were good at blitz too 1940, and sucked four years agoLaughing

to be good at blitz give no insurance to be good elsewhere (thunder?).

Let me know if there's anything interesting in that analysis I posted. I didn't bother reading it.
