当然咯!你写英文比我写汉语好的多呀!And yes, it is quite interesting. At least for those interested in both Chess and China.
Rook=Pig

I think a pig would make an excellent rook.
I used to have a pig named Sir Francis (like in Bacon).
He used to move in straight lines. If I sat outside on a deckchair, and he wanted to be on the other side, he just walked straight through/over/under me and chair without missing a beat.

King is Elephant, Queen is Camel, Rook is Horse, Bishop is Dog, Knight is Cat and Pawn is Rabbit.
why?
China has its own chess-like board game------Xiangqi.Xiangqi and chess has some similar pieces.So the chess pieces such as Rook,Knight,Bishop is translated into 车(pronounce che,means car,in anciant Chinese it pronounce ju, which means chariot),马(horse),象(elephant).
In Huanggang(In Hubei,China,my birthplace) dialect,车 share a same pronounciation with 猪(pig).
So the Rook,Knight,Bishop in my dialect are three animals...pig,horse,elephant. rook=pig . Interesting ?
Sorry for my poor English ,is my post understandable?
Btw 车 in xiangqi is pronounced as ju and not che
