Try "corrispondence" risk, like Netpigs 
My two neighbors and I (all 70s, then max cap and decently enough equipped) spent 14 hours one Saturday in Shadow Lab trying to find the right other two to finish that damn thing.
For those that don't play WoW, that's insane tenacity.
That game just sucked hour after hour from me.
I quit 2 years ago. Miss my friends there but not the time I would have lost had I kept on playing.
