I wanted to post about this because it's something that's really been bothering me recently. I've been playing a lot of bullet lately and I hear constant complaints about 'runners', players who are down on material that 'run away' in hopes of winning on time. I'm downright sick of these complaints. Time control is a part of chess! If you can't win before your clock runs out, you lose! That's how it goes.
Yes, I have been frustrated many times by games where I am up material and lose on time. However I never get mad at my opponent, who is simply doing everything he/she can to win. I'm just frustrated with myself for not mating quickly enough. I click new game, and keep trying to improve.
