Same product, just choose your favorite retailer.

ok thank you

Both look the same to me, just different pricing. Different companies want different profits. It should be noted the items listed here are actually purchased from wholesalechess.com (I'm pretty sure -- the Rybka price is the same here and on that site).

Apparently the vendor selling through Amazon is getting a lower profit margin. I also think that chess.com gets a percentage of sales generated, though I don't know that for certain.

I would advise against buying the Aquarium GUI, unless you've used it before and know you like it. There are free GUIs which you can use with Rybka. Aquarium is poorly written and confusing, I regret paying money for it.

how about chessbse light 2009 for free? or aquarium 3 free? and is it more expensive or even posible to buy rybka 4 now then to buy a gui in the futere?

how are the pay for gui difrent then the free or semo versions? and most importent how about the interface the grafical side thx agen ori

Good plan. If you want Rybka 4, get it at the lowest price you can then look around for a free GUI. If you don't like any of the free ones you can always buy, say, Fritz12 in the future.

ori0

yes thats what i was thinking thanks! this site is awsome :)

Fritz12 will cost you money, I don't think you can buy the GUI without the engine. I think earlier versions of Fritz (5.32 possibly) can be downloaded for free. I'd start with that one

Deranged

Prices drop as it becomes less new. I remember when it used to cost $120 when it first came out.

I bought aquarium GUI from chessok and I got a free engine: Houdini and Stockfish and everything's fine.
