No, that's what the site says, but I've encountered cheating from when I started as a lowly 1100 up until now.
Your Question: Yes, someone can combine their own moves with computer calculated moves to make it seem more effective.
The good news is that cheaters aren't usually very smart, and they rise in elo very quickly and are thus banned.
If you suspect anyone of cheating, don't name them publicly. Chess.com has a team dedicated to catching cheaters; all you need to do is send a ''support'' ticket.
Also, there is a good group called the ''cheating forum'', which discusses these core issues and can be found under share --> groups and teams --> ''cheating''.
Good luck and remember - most cheaters won't feel any sense of skill or accomplishment, and are sure to lose interest after a while.
Hi all,
As I surf over the profiles of my opponents, I come accross many comments stating that this or that person is cheating.
Now, my question is the following: can someone actually use a program and combine his own moves?
And second: can someone having a rating in blitz of 1500-1800 can be accused of cheating? I mean, if the person's cheating, they should be above 2000, right?
Many thanks in advance for your opinions.
