Salt and Pepper Chess

Found at the Oregon Culinary Institute, this chess set enlists the various styles of salt and pepper shakers to a long-standing, strategic war. Also, saying "could you pass the salt?" for "CHECKMATE" must really ice the competition. Although you have to take this board with a grain of salt, as a seasoned Chess player, I can say this is sure to shake up the game. Alas, they set up the position of the white king and queen wrongly. Oh well!

The first thing a true chess-player does when he sees a chessboard set up in any form of media, be it TV, film, or some website, is check to see if the kings and queens are set up correctly, and if the bottom-right corner square is white!

Indeed that is what I first checked. The orientation of the board is correct and the position of the white king and queen is reversed (I mentioned this error in my original post too, after several rather lame puns)

Worst knight ever.

this must be the deadliest chess set in the world

all that salt. eating all that is about a years worth

but the chess set is good but i would not be able to recognize the pieces if i played it in a game

The knight and rook are too close in size. I think I'd get them mixed up.

Oh noes, the king and queen aren't correctly set up, I'm enraged.
