Sending a message with a move

I'm playing a turn-based (e-mail style) game with my dad. Is there a way to send him a message if I want along with my move? I see a "chat" tab, but I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I'm thinking of a message he gets that's in the e-mail he gets notifying him I've made my move and it's now his turn?

What do you mean 'e-mail style' -- you mean he isn't using chess.com to make his moves?

Sorry, yes, we're both using Chess.com. I just mean we're not both riveted to the browser playing; I'll make a move this evening, and then he'll get an e-mail tomorrow morning telling him it's his turn. In that e-mail he gets from Chess.com, I'd just like to know if there's a way to send him a personal message. Either that, or have the message appear when he logs in to make his move?

You notice that little red # in the upper right hand corner that alerts you it's your turn to move?  Send your dad a message and a # alert for that will also show up to let him know he has a message or someone has posted on his home page.  Have fun.
