there is a piece like that. It is called an amazon. you can get to it by going to 4 player and variants, then scroll to custom and click it. click custom position and it is there
Should there be a piece better than the queen?

Introducing an even stronger piece could overshadow other tactical elements of the game, like pawn structure, positional play and the value of different piece sacrifices, since this overpowered piece could break through defenses far more easily than a traditional queen.

True, but in this scenario, the overpowered piece would introduce a whole other tactical way to play chess! Maybe even in a bullet/blitz scenario, where pawn structures can get annoying.
