Since bughouse is basically a two team (4 player) game, I see nothing wrong with it as the opponent can just counter-stall if their time is more than yours. Obviously for a 3 minute bughouse game, stalling for 2 minutes is not smart lol
Same cannot be said about normal chess as you don't have anything to counter your opponent stalling
Should you Stall in Bughouse?

I am over 1600 in bughouse, so here's my opinion on this.
Stalling is definitely fine. It's part of bughouse, when to stall and when not to stall. There is nothing wrong with stalling in any situation (you will already be penalized by having less time).
Definitely stall if you are about to get mated. However, if you see that your opponent's partner is also stalling and they have more time than you, there is no point in waiting to lose and you might as well resign. If you are about to mate an opponent and you only need like a bishop or something, stall! There is NOTHING wrong with stalling in bughouse - it's part of the game.

Your opponent might get bored while waiting, but if you need a piece... I don't know. I don't really play bughouse. But like if you stall, you might get into the habit of stalling in your other games. Hmmm... maybe just as long as you don't stall all the time then that's all right. I guess. I don't really play bughouse that much so I don't really have much of an opinion.

I don't play a lot of bughouse, I don't play a little bit. I think that it's okay if you stall.

bughouse is doubles, meaning two games go on at the same time, and the opposite color sides are on the same team. If I play white against somebody, my partner plays black against my opponent's teammate, meaning the pieces they take I can drop on to my board.

Stalling is perfectly fine as far as I know, there's even a chat feature that says to stall, or not stall (Due to low time) Here's an example of when to stall. I was in a bughouse arena where my teammate was getting crushed, but I had a forced mate in 2 if he got me a rook, I communicated I was stalling and that a rook would win, so my teammate sacrificed the queen the second he got the chance and we won the game (Best teammate ever by the way, most bughouse teammates don't communicate probably due to us speaking different languages? I dunno but still BEST TEAMMATE EVER). There are a few other ways you can use stalling to help your team but it definitely is allowed :-)
We know that stalling in a regular game isn't okay. If you are loosing, you shouldn't wait down your time. It's annoying for your opponent.
However, in bughouse, you have a partner that could give you pieces to start an attack. Is it okay to stall for those pieces, or is it not okay?
Yes - it's okay. Bughouse isn't regular chess. If you need a pawn or a bishop to checkmate, then you can wait for a pawn or a bishop. Also, the most common type of bughouse is 3 minutes with no increment. It's not like you should stall for over two minutes. By then, if your partner is in no position to give you a bishop or a pawn, then you should just move.
No - it's annoying for your opponent. They'll have to wait while begging their partner in the chat not to give away a bishop or a pawn. It's bad sportsmanship to stall in any game.
What I think: It's okay to stall, to a certain extent. When it's clear that your partner can't give you a piece that you want them to give you, then you should just move, otherwise you're going to loose time.
