I just wanted to ask if the shredder chess app for android is a good app to play against and improve if you are rated 1200 to 1400. if it is a good app, is the app good f

sorry for the incomplete post, i just asked if you are rated 1200 to 1400 is the shredder chess app good to play against. please don't refer to my chess.com ratings as i dont play here anymore and am rated 1300 on a different website. please answer. thanks in advance

Playing chess against engines isn't really a good way to improve. Playing against real people is better, along with study.

If you have no other option, it might be useful but I can't really answer whether or not the Android version is worth it.

In my opinion Shredder chess is the best app like Stockfish,Komodo,etc.I have also purchased it myself and it is a good app for me.Shredder provides adjustable strength of your level to give it a good fight.Else you can also play it with its full playing strength which will give a very tough fight in the game.Shredder is 17 times Computer World Chess Champion.It also provides you with more than 1000 tactical positions which I recommend to do daily to be alert and sharp in tactical positions.It is also a good app for analysing games or positions.It has a very good thing,it calculates your rating by your playing strength which you can easily track your progress.The best app ever.Thank you.I also recommend you other apps like Stockfish, Komodo, Play Magnus, chess.com, chessbase, etc
