Shredder computer opponants
I've got Shredder Classic 12, for 30 pounds.
I cannot even see a "settings" option under any of the menues. Must be different versions.

FWIW, there isn't a Shredder Classic 12. There's a Shredder 12 UCI, and there's a Shredder Classic 4, but I think the interface operates similarly regardless of which one you have.
The GUI is supplied with five different Shredder engines with different personalities: Beancounter, Gambit, Kamikaze, Solid, and UCI. You can change to a different engine by right-clicking your mouse in the engine window and picking "Change Engine...".
Once you've chosen one of the five engines, you can set the Elo in the normal manner. Furthermore, if you know what you're doing, you can also modify the engine settings in the "Engine Options" menu.
Excellent, thanks everyone. I have seen that.
I have Shredder 4 then. I have seen "shredder 3" advertised with "Shredder 11", i was trying to be clear i had the "cheap" option of the current version of Shredder 12. But your right, its Shredder Classic 4 Mac. I thought the "4" was being used in place of "for".
Does Shredder allow you to play against a computer opponant, where you can "set" the opponant as aggressive or passive or some other kind of style?
Or are you limited to choosing a computer opponant based only on elo rating?
