Sicilian Dragon looks like a dragon?

The Sicilian Defense Dragon Variation supposedly looks like a dragon when it is formed. Can someone help me see how the chess pieces are formed to show it looking like a dragon? I just don't see it. Thanks.

Bowens

It is supposed to look like the constellation Draco, not a dragon.

The pawn structure for black is what they are talking about. With pawns on h7, g6, f7, e7, d6, b7, a7

Thanks, guys.

Easy to slay, to. Open the h-file, sac, sac, mate.

I'm talking rubbish of course. It's easy to slay if you're Bobby Fischer.

Thanx Rael... now everytime I play that variation I'll have the mental image of the dragon there to block my thoughts on the pieces under it.Sealed

Wish I had a real dragon like that to breathe fire on my opponent.

The "Dragon" refers to the snake-like shape of Black's pawn structure: h7, g6, f7 (and the rest varies). The pawn formation resembles a serpent's tail, hence the name "Dragon." Plus, the Sicilian Defense is freaking amazingly good and scary.

To Rael

I see it now.  Brilliant, the way you pointed it out so well.

Now, what do you have for the Pelikan Variation?

Olimar

don't tempt him, he will do it.

HEY GUYS! I though the dragon was referreing to "fire breathing" Bishop on g7.
