I was thinking of setting up a small simultaneous (10 vs 1) in a high school using one chess clock (clocks are in short supply) and using time control of 40 moves in 60 min. with additional 30/30. There are not a lot of good players but was thinking of using this as a fund raiser/publicity for the club (entry fee of ?, prizes split from that, I would not take anything for wining a game) My rating is mid to upper 1700. Using only one clock where the 10 competitors clock would be hit after the last one moved and I would hit it (if my button was up) when I came around to the first board. Would this work? be fair to me/ them??
