So rule of repetition sometimes just doesn't work?

This happened several times already that the rule of repetition doesn't work suddenly.

As far as I know after three moves are repeated the game is drawn? Well in this game it didn't even draw after like even 6 repetitions:

After being totally confused and got into time trouble, I messed up and black won. (Funny how he then just left as if nothing happened...not even replying.)

Is there something wrong with the site coordinating rule of repetition or am I missing something with the rule?

what is going on? It should.

You're missing something with the rule.

Threefold repetition (and, similarly, the 50-move rule) must be claimed by one of the players.  If neither player claims the draw, then the game continues.

To claim the draw, simply press the draw button at the exact time that the condition is met (when the position is the same for the third time or after the 50th move w/o captures or pawn moves) and the game will immediately end as a draw.  If you press the button too early or too late (if, for example, your opponent breaks draw condition), then the button acts as a draw offer, instead.

If you have had games end as a repetition draw in the past, then your opponent must have been the one to claim it.

You are missing the fact that threefold reetition must be claimed by pressing the "offer draw" button. The game will then be immediately drawn. Just like otb play the threefold rep' is not automatic.

By the way it is the position that needs to be repeated, not the same three moves, there is a subtle difference.
