Can anyone explain hoe today's daily puzzle is completed with rook move as surely the pawn can just take it leaving black with huge advantage....what am I missing? Or is the puzzle wrong?
VintagePawn

If bxc5 then white can check the black king unhindered, resulting in a triple repetition of position and a draw. Qg5+ and Qh5+ repeating.

Thanks Vintage Pawn! So when doing this puzzle it was not to look for a win rather than just settle for a draw? Presumably that was because black had a rook up so a draw was more acceptable than to look for an (impossible?) win? With these puzzles then the outcome could by a number of things, better position, material gain, check etc etc but it is left to me to work right that out, have I got that right? As you can tell I'm a bit of a newbie on here so thanks!

Yeah, the position will often point to what is needed; since white is behind in material and there is no forced mating lines, a forced draw is the only chance.

The daily puzzles will sometimes have a clue in the title and that one did -- Getting That Half Point

Right, thanks....as you are feeling helpful.....! I can't see how to "surrender" etc on the app, where is it please? And the other thing I can find on my Computer chess.com but not in the app is analysis of games played at my local chess club. Is it in the iPad app? Thanks for taking the time to help guys.
