Spectating Friends Games

How do you watch 2 friends play each other?

The easiest way is if they are in your Friend list here. Then, when you go into Live, on the Friend's tab, find them, click on their name and choose the Watch or Follow options.

Watch will show you their current game and continue if they rematch. If you choose Follow, it will follow that friend and load their games when they start.

Where are the Watch or Follow options

When you click a name while in live you get the option. Follow is the silhouette with the arrow and Watch is the binoculars there.

What do you mean "in live" how do you get into that screen

Play > Live on the website.

Is this only for members? I cant find this option literally anywhere

You have to be on the website for the method in post 5, but the app has a watch menu item. You just need an account, no premium needed.

ok so hover your mouse over play. go to the play (beta) thing. then at the top right area there's a button that says players. If you click your friends should appear. Then click on the friend and there should be a spectate option

In Live Chess, the panel on the right hand side at the bottom has several tabs: the middle one is "Friends". If a friend is "Playing", clicking on that line will spectate that game; if a friend is "Online", clicking on that line will let you challenge them to a game
