Square names on each tile

Trying to learn the squares super fast like most can take quite a while, Would love to have an option where the letter and number are on each tile so that over time it'll be easier to memorize the squares. Anyone else think this would be great for beginners?

You can turn that on in board settings.

My settings only give the option to have the numbers down on the left file, either inside or outside and the letters along the bottom rank, again inside or outside, all the other squares are blank

It's true that they are only on one side and on the bottom.   That's how they do it with real chessboards.

I don't think it's very easy to find chessboards with each square labeled.

I did find a shower curtain with each square labeled.

I think that vision training would be very helpful for you.

I meant having the option only on chess.com. I'm fairly decent at knowing where each square is but sometimes when learning a line it's hard to be able to follow pretty quickly. Just thought that if the option was there then after playing games with it for a while they would be second nature.

Would be great for people starting out also.

I came across this thread trying to find this option as well. Yes, for beginners trying to learn to associate the tiles with their respective names/labels, this would go a long way.

Have you tried the vision training?

Thank you, I didn't know about this. I'll give it a go.

get some paper. make some flash cards. put the names of the squares on each card a2, b3, c4 etc.etc. like a deck of cards, you should have 64 cards. shuffle them and lay out a chess board. as you flip over a card, lay it down on the correct squares. not only will this teach you the names of the squares, but thier individual locations on the board. Do this until you have the board memorized. your ability to read, write, and follow notation will increase dramatically.
