Even "everyone else" doesn't have to start at 1200 anymore. I don't know when they changed it, but newcomers now get to choose their initial rating. Think you can choose between 1200, 1500, and 1800 but I'm not really sure and I'm too lazy to research it.

Wow, I didn't know that. Just that when I see some of the mistakes I see Masters making in some blitz games, and then I see some of the chess that some people play even at 1200, 1300 in blitz, it makes me think they'd struggle to get up to their Master's rating if they started at 1200.
What's the starting rating for titled players when they join chess.com? Is it still 1200 like everyone else?
