Strategies in King of the Hill

When I play King of the Hill (KOTH), I sometimes bring my king out early. Most of the time, I win by reaching the middle using a queen sacrifice or another tactic, but sometimes, my opponent sees my motive early, and I get crushed. What is the best strategy to use? Should I continue what I am currently doing?

Technically rushing your king is a bad idea but I like it because it's fun. 

True, but I want a technique that wins, not that is fun.

Welp, rushing you king is a bad idea because it is easily attacked hence you have to keep definding it and then you will not have a time to attack the other leading to a loss, sorry amoghakella I agree with SNUDOO

welllllll,,,, I usualy get my pieces out and after wards I castle my king where the other king isn't casled(for example if my oponent is castled kingside then i castle queen side and vise versa). Afterwards I launch all my pawns where the my oppenents king is castled, and attack with my pieces as well. idk if this makes sense but i hope this helped.

And it is pretty fun to so this, and it does not make you lose the game

no problem

the basis is to control the center, and only when you have complete control, walk your king in. for instance, after a queen trade. personally, I like 1. nf3. I have been on KOTH tv for another website multiple times

I played 10 second blindfolded KOTH against an FM. The strat is bring the queen to the centre, so he can’t get there, and shuffle pieces to win on time.

the problem there is that it was 10 second game.
