i reached 1200 rapid a month ago , i don't seem to improve at all and i can only win 10 min matches . my ability to calculate has gotten worse due to playing lot of blitz and bullet . any tips to reach 1300 or maybe even 1400?

Play long time controls and take your time to calculate different lines. The more you practice the easier it will get for faster time controls.

That’s good advice

I reached over 1500 blitz in December, since then I fell to 1300 now, on my way to 1000 by the summer and 0 by the end of the year. My conclusion is that either my brain is dying or cheating is getting out of hand here. Either way I wouldn't take the rating too seriously

You've only lost 114 points over the last 90 days so I wouldn't be too discouraged, tilt happens all the time. In the past I have lost 200 points in 2 days, and it took me a month to climb back up.

Stop worrying about ratings. Read books. Study great players from the past. Read books. Play daily move games so that you can actually think about your position and better understand chess concepts. Forget youtube and blitz and all that nonsense. Read some books. I'm not a very good player now, but in my youth I was quite good. From my decades of experience I will tell you that chess improvement takes time, hard work and love of the great game. But on the bright side, the process is very enjoyable.

Consider shifting your focus back to longer time controls like 15+10 or 30-minute games. These longer time controls allow for deeper calculation and strategic planning, which can help improve your overall chess skills.

Instead of focusing solely on winning, prioritize playing quality games where you make good moves and follow sound principles. Winning will naturally follow when you play strong, principled chess.
