after few 100 plays i finaly got to conclusion that 700 is my tops and hardly ever i am able to keep my head above. Playing longer matches than 5 min is even wors. the longer i think the more bizzare moves i make and fail. thank you all for good advise and support, i will stay here and enjoy what i can

I feel sorry for you since chess becomes more enjoyable the better you become... and advancing from 700 should be possible with practice. I would give you the advice to analyze your games with a better player from your local club in order to improve. It's a much better way to get better quickly than simply to keep on repeating the same mistakes in game after game.

And you're from Poland: Życzę wszystkiego najlepszego!

Improving from a 700 level should be easy. Learn some basic tactics, including counting (as described by Dan Heisman). That should get you  a few hundred rating points right there.

And stop playing 5-minute games. Those fast games aren't giving you enough time to think about your moves. If I were you, I'd start out with at least 30-minute games.

Nobody has a ceiling of 700 unless you make zero effort to study the game. Stop playing stupid blitz, play 30 minute games or daily games. Buy some beginner level books or watch some of the many videos on YouTube for beginners. Do these things and you will improve. I was once 800 rated I got better by studying and playing exclusively 30 minute games. I never touched blitz until I was 15-1600 rapid and even then I wish I had never started playing it. It slowed my progress severely. I've just returned to chess after a long break (was going to quit for good) and this time around I'm not messing with blitz at all. I always wanted to be 2000 rapid on here and this time I'm going to get there. I'm playing only rapid and studying seriously until I get it.

Just do your tactics training, here you can do 5 for free, on some other sites you can do unlimited for free.

First of all hi. Don't just play, also learn from your games. For a start there is a free chess engine on chess.com, which analyses your moves and tells you what you played wrong and where. Learn from that.

See the common blunders you are making.

Plus there are some free videos on youtube for beginners that teach the basics. Additionally work on tactics. Try the ones on chess.com or there are some sites that offer tactics for free.

There are videos from chess.com that are free you could watch specifically designed for your level of play called everything you need to know, watch those. You've barely been on the site for 2 months so to assume you're at your peak potential performance is ridiculous. Happy chess

There are a few simple steps you can do to boost your rating in no time at all! With this method comes great self-esteem, a possible increase in skill, and, of course, a definite increase in rating!

Step 1: Create a chess.com account

Step 2: When asked what level of player you are, select "advanced".

Step 3: Feel good about your 1800 rating points! Congratulations! If people doubt your skill because of the roundness of your rating, simply play one game and you will still be well above 700 with a credible-looking rating

buy a begginers book, study with a fisical chess board, be patient and constant, methodic. you should be in 1000 in no time. if tou can take lessons with a good teacher, process is A LOT easier. Bullet and blitz, even rapids are not good for learning. go for daily games so you have time to THINK... even check your book. and practice with tactics, idealy with book and board, otherwise with chess.com exercises. but seeing it on the board, moving the pieces, will make tour process more productive (although more time consuming). and don't forget... this should be fun!! winning comes later...

Hey Szymek

Thanks for sharing your chess progress. I hear you I was also stuck at 650 for a while. But eventually got stronger.

I put together a guide here check it out: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-players/from-a-500-elo-beginner-to-a-2000-elo-expert

I'm also stuck at 700... Whenever I reach 800, I lose and fall back almost a hundred points, then I have to start over. I've been doing tactics and they have helped a little.

Oh god, how are people so low? I didn't even start at 700, I started at like 1000

Because I had never played chess before and I guess the older you get, the slower you learn.

Strangemover

It's a bloody difficult game in fairness.

Szy.  Bullet is not chess.  Take the advice people give here.  Play no less than 30min.  Analyze your game.  You will be able to see why you lost.  Certainly study tactics on here or get a book on tactics.  If your goal is to improve alot and if you are brave enough, put your game and analysis on here.  You would be surprised how many people will try to help you.  Listen to them.

ChessBoy513

You should play rapid, learn some tactics, strategy and mating patterns. Also a bit of endgame lessons(opening theory doesn't matter much at 700) and if you want fast games, no more than 10 minutes.
