Tactics rating

I happened to notice a strange fenomena regarding Tactics ratings...

GM gmcyborek has a Tactic rating 2486 with 

whereas I myself have a rating 

Notice the oddity?

How can it be that even though I have a 4,7% better pass-rate, he has over 1000pts better rating...

Just feels logically strange, even though I do not for a second think that I am a better tactician .

It is because the GM solved (solves) higher rated tactical puzzles. Simple as that, nothing logically strange about it.

As your rating increases, so the puzzles get more and more difficult....  For example, if you were to try to solve the 2500 rated tactics puzzles your percentage might fall to 5-10%, whereas if the GM tried to solve your 1500 rated puzzles their percentage success rate would probably rise to over 95%...
