tactics trainer rating

could someone please tell me why when i get a puzzle wrong i lose 8 to 10 but getting them right even when 100 percent i only gain between 3 to 7? seems really hard to clime and in comments below i see people posting plus 16 and stuff like that. probably in my settings but i have no idea. cheers in advance :)

I believe it depends on rating of a puzzle...

and time you invest also counts. If you solve a puzzle in 2 minutes with 100%, you will lose rating because took too much time.

just did one 20 seconds faster than alotted time an got plus 7. 17 seconds with 37 seconds to solve

I think it has to do with how many puzzles you have completed.

The less that have been done the more the rating fluctuates with each one.

You've done quite a few, so your rating won't change that much per problem.

Probably the people who got plus 16 have done far less of them than you.
