Getting the real benefits out of doing tactics.

I like to concentrate on the tactics that are common to the openings and defences that I play.  I don't play the King's Indian Defence and so it would take me half a day to find a King's Indian Tactic in the position.

OK, I'm exaggerating, but it could easily take me 10 to 20 minutes.

You will see the benefits of tactics training 504. All that's left is to learn a few of the opening systems. I started with e4 center games trying to win a short gain of tempo and capitalize on developing an attack. I then found Sicilian to be difficult to play against, so I learned how to play the najdorf as black. I switch between e4 and d4 as white on occasion. My purpose in telling you this 504 is all that is required is sound and active develop until that critical moment to unload a tactic. The rest is expository.
