Taking back moves

Is there any way to take back a move when playing the computer?  Sometimes the mouse does not respond as expected and it ruins what would have been a great game for me. I'm sure there's something more irritating than that, but I have yet to find it

I've scoured the screen for options and see no way to take back a move in computer chess on chess.com (played on Windows 10 PC).  The only option I see is to resign.

Thanks for any ideas.

You can’t take back a move on a regular chess board. If your hand leaves the piece, that’s it. Same with the click of the mouse.

I believe it's only possible when playing for 1 crown

I don’t know I don’t have a that one

I know we all have had that moment where we fumble the click. Unfortunately in the interest of fair play, there is nothing we can do about it.

On easy mode against bots, takebacks are allowed

mjtcan

you can takeback moves if you're playing 2 crowns or 1 crown.

I had this question for playing humans.

You can request a takeback on LiChess, but I don’t see a button for that, here on Chess.com.

is that the case? Or am I just missing a button?

No taking back moves while playing people is really dumb. You can't do it in real life why could you do it on chess.com?

The only option for that here is in unrated daily games that were started with the Takeback option enabled. It's not available in live games

Alrighty then. I play on an iPad, so I gotta be as "Finger Aware" as possible.

Made a mistake last night but managed to come back and win a game that neither myself nor my opponent really deserved to win!!

I caught a break. Such is life when one hovers at 800 Rapid.

Onwards.

The apps have a confirm move option available.

I see a Submit Button option for Daily Games but nit for “Live” games.

Daily games aren't timed (mostly) so it's fine if it takes you an extra 2 secs to move but In a bullet game it wouldn't be ok to take a min of 3 secs per move.

Makes sense—I have stuck to Rapid so far — 10 mins, 15 mins, etc

I lose a lot of games to misclicks. Just resign and try again
