If I had to bet money, I'd say it's probably a clone of Stockfish... or a clone of a clone of a clone...
Do you have a link?

It doesn't quite play like Stockfish to me. Just go to your App Store and search. It's way at the bottom of the list, but dang if it isn't strong!
Here we go...

So I have this obsession with chess engines and comparing them against each other since any respectable computer can beat any GM in the world today. There is so much talk about the big chess engines and I have them all (Stockfish, Shredder, Hiarcs, etc.). But one ties Stockfish all the time...a no-name program from TapMedia, a company out of the UK (I have posted the image above). You can get this in the app store, and for some reason, it completely whips everything whether playing black or white. The only thing that can sometimes draw it is the Chess.com computer and Stockfish on another site--both set to max.
How is this program THAT strong? I have emailed the creators, but cannot get a response back. Not a very well-run company, it seems. This thing easily whips Hiarcs and Shredder. How is this possible and how has no one else talked about it?
