This was a troll post, with my least favorite openings of all time, not any actually good openings.
What follows constitutes the list of the top 10 openings in chess. This list is the supreme authority on chess openings, and cannot be refuted. If there are any you would like to add, please comment down below.
#1: Queen's Pawn Opening: Accelerated London System - The greatest of the great openings... if you want the same position every time.
#2: Philidor Defense - For people who hate development.
#3: Damiano Defense - Cousin of the Philidor. Totally normal opening with no traps. I strongly recommend it, as it is one of the most solid overlooked lines that is possible to play in e4 lines.
#4: Sicilian Defense: Canal Attack - "Look for checks, captures, and threats." (Average beginner advice)
#5: French Defense: Exchange Variation - Same position every time. Somewhat related to the Four Knights Game and the London.
#6: Slav Defense: Exchange, Symmetrical Line - Cousin of the French.
#7: Giuoco Piano Game: Giuoco Pianissimo, Italian Four Knights, Canal Variation (Transposition from the Four Knights Game) - The holy grail of beginner positions. What players teach to new players.
#8: Berlin Draw - (Unofficial name for common draw variation in the Ruy Lopez) - Play for a draw as soon as possible because you don’t feel like playing chess.
#9: King’s Pawn Opening: Wayward Queen Attack - Do I really need to explain this one?
#10: Colle System - Essentially the same idea as the King’s Indian Attack/Defense lines, except with a much slower castle afterwards.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post! As my opening knowledge is decently poor in d4 lines, there might be a few errors. Please respond with the correct information. Thanks!
