Your list disagrees with most of the list you made 3 years ago, which a lot of people have read. The only book that stayed is the Mammoth Book of Chess.
https://www.chess.com/blog/crok/best-books-for-chess-beginners
Are you disavowing that old list? It included:
Book 1: Mammoth Book
Book 2: Pandolfini's Utlimate Guide to Chess by Bruce Pandolfini
Book 3; The Amateur's Mind by Jeremy Silman.
Book 4; A guide to Chess Improvement by Dan Heisman.
Book 5; Reassess Your Chess by Jeremy Silman.
This new list doesn't say that it is focused on beginners but seems to be even more focused on beginners than the old one.
For example, the Coakley book says it is designed for 7 to 13 year olds.
You think that most adults here on chess.com will get a lot out of the book?
the winner imho is, jeff coakley, winning chess strategy for kids...
Yes it is written for kids and it has a ton of important info and concepts that adults must brush up upon as well. If you only buy one chess book this has to be it ...
next is graham burgess the mammoth book of chess...
This a type of encyclopedia of everything chess, possibly the best all round chess book written; and make no mistake it is not simplistic nor easy !!!
there are literally millions of chess books available but these books will improve your chess game immensely, but the last book
Bobby Fischer teaches chess is also excellent, but assumes some understanding of what is happening upon the board...
Regardless any or all three of these items will give you overall knowledge and improvement, they all are a must have in your chess resources library !!!
