I like double mates where two pieces are checking the enemy king simultaneously and your opponent can't defend both.
i like it best when he checkmates himself without me doing anything. checkmate in half a move

duhh - the best kind of checkmate is the one that wins you the game you are currently playing
The best checkmate is the one where you have only a knight and the opponent has only a bishop.
