The Coldest Game is a 2019 English language movie. The basic plot is during the 1962 Cuban missle crisis the CIA wants to smuggle information out of the Soviet Union usual a chess match played in Warsaw Poland. Virtually every technical items about chess are either unrealistic or belatedly wrong. 1) Game 1, while talking about the game the GM says "I sacrificed my Bishops for his Knight," no GM would say this, this is an exchange; 2) Game 2, the GM leaves his hand hovering over the board for a long period of time distracting his opponent; 3) the Black Rook disappears between shots; 4) since the Black Rook placed him in check on the Queenside his hand hovering over the Kingside (possible touching a pawn) could not in any way be a legal responses to the check; 5) although tiping over your King is a way to resign a game at the GM level this is bad form (disrespectful); 6) between G2 and G3 he goes out on the town with his drinking buddy, they find a map and the GM uses algebraic notations to point out landmarks d4 f6 etc. but prior to 1980 descriptive notations were used d4 was PQ4, f6 was PKB3 etc.; 7) game 3 is canceled but scored a draw (unplayed games are not scored or at least I have never seen them scored); 8) Game 4 a bell does ring in the middle of the game signaling intermission; 9) a draw is not offered through an arbiters (especially when both players understand the same language); 10) a draw is offered after you make a movie, the first draw is offered without a move being made; 11) after the draw was declined both players rip off a series of movies without much thought, this was a game played under standard time control and neither were in time trouble (extremely unlikely); 12) the second draw offer again is through the arbiter; finally! 13) the display board uses pieces virtually the same color for both sides (it would be like two football teams playing one wearing white and the other white with yellow trim, yes you can see the difference but it is not easy for the spectators).

Ironically, the seen in Game 2 where psychology warfare was used is very similar to the 1978 World Championship when Kronchni accused Karpov's side of the same thing.
