The Cow Opening Rocks!

Your basically just wasting your moves and putting yourself in a defensive position even if your white

This is now theory, if you do even the first 2 moves chess.com will label the opening as The Cow.
Well done Anna
The huge irony of this opening I always thought is that if it was black it would be a semi-valid opening. I guess there's a chance that the reason she didn't go for it as black is that she wanted it to be clearly taken as parody and not in any sense an actual opening and didn't want to use her e-girl clout to get a real opening into books and such, but that's probably me just fantasizing about a world where people are intelligence and conscientious again.

Its averege a 8 year old can do a better opening .
Its for mostly babies thisn opening so i am not suprosed at all

Tried the Cow just now in FFA (4PC). I won, for what it's worth. I was playing lower rated players and ... it wasn't my best win, full of blunders.
If you play it in 4PC you'd best push your R pawns before developing your Bs or your K will have nowhere to go.

I feel like it’s a good opening for players under 1500 (or maybe even 2000) in blitz and bullet because everything is so kept together it’s practically impossible to blunder a piece. In games with longer times though, it’s not good because you can always remember 100 lines in ruy Lopez and win, but if you don’t want to do that, and just want to take the opponent out of their theory and play middle game, sure. It’s not necessarily a bad opening, it’s absolutely playable, sometimes even good due to the element of surprise, but once you get to a certain level in which even some very well known openings are referred to as bad, yeah it can’t really shine. The real strength of it is still in lower-rated blitz and bullet, but I suppose you can use any kind of weird way and still have some success in that format and level. But hey, it’s not Anna’s fault, stop hating on her so much. There is so many good openings, and a majority of not all of them have already been invented.

Poor players acting like some lines are bad because stockfish says so lmao
For gms/super gms, sure, you're at a disadvantage. For others, it's fine if you pay attention and don't play everything automatically.
