Despite what some say, the Grob is not a bad attack. The great this about the Grob is that it allows you to have a Fianchetto style bishop. Another great thing about the Grob is that every move you make after is better. The Grob also makes you opponent underestimate your skills. The Grob also has some nasty tricks you can do. List of them is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G98sGv2NSU. The Grob is also great for bullet chess. This is because it makes your opponent wonder what is going through your head, making them waste time. All of this evidence supports the fact that the Grob is actually a great opening.

What's your point Hawz?? I've understood Grob's Attack is a great opening but unfortunately after sacrificing the pawn the compensation usually white expects is just an quick attacking compensation. In the long run against a skilled strategist the pawn sacrifice is just giving up a pawn for nothing.................

You must have not gotten the main point. I said that the Grob is good for bullet chess. The long run does not matter in bullet really.

Because White has the first move, a lot of those first moves do no real harm.  The Grob works best against those who don't understand the Principle Behind the Openings.  But it doesn't help White castle K-side, it doesn't help open the h-file for a strong attack on Black's h-Pawn (a key in many attacks), it doesn't protect the N on f3, usually it's strongest position, etc. etc. etc.

Please note the games submitted by the OP are so poorly played by Black that they offer no evidence for or against the Grob.

If Carlsen or Stockfisch played the grob against they would beat the crap out of me. The Grob doesn't loose when played perfectly. The only problem is that the regular grob player isn't that good and only hopes that his opponents fall for his tricks and traps. Also the weaknesses white creates require precise play to hold balance. It's easier to make bad moves in the grob than in other openings.

This is why it is bad from practical point of view and therefore cannot be recommend if you still have a lot of areas that still need improvement.

The funny thing is that the trick grob players are hoping for doesn't even work. Black just can take on g4 and sac the exchange.

There is a reason why Basman himself plays 2. h3.

I think the history of the Grob is far more interesting than the actual opening, espoused as it was by Bloodgood who was imprisoned for trying to kill his mother and played correspondence chess and was the second highest rated player in America after Fisher.

Black is playing really badly in the first 2 games and then white gets checkmated really quickly in the next game

The first 2 games show that the Grob is the best opening to fight for an opening advantage.
