Many people have been reporting time glitch for years here.. I'm facing this today so I don't need to go in details if what happens.. can it be a hack? cause it mostly happens when I'm almost won!!! you know how it feels?

The "time glitch" most people talk about isn't a glitch at all and it also isn't hacking. It is poor internet connection, or not having strong connection to the chess.com servers for whatever reason.

yes i think is very easy to hack by using latency inducing software but i have not tested this myself.

It's not possible. Using lag switch software will only impact your connection. The site doesn't allow all lag and it will get deducted from your clock.

Yes but why does it only lag when my clock gets close to 0

no lag at all during the game, then when I get to 5 or so seconds, the clock stops and then goes straight to 0?

You may actually be experiencing lag but it's going to be more noticable when low on time.

No in the middle of the game my clock does not stop for 10 seconds. I was thinking though if I have the evaluation bar on, maybe that causes lag because there's more calculations/ bandwidth needed in an end game, versus 10 or 12 moves in when you're still well within main lines

You can't have an evaluation bar during games.

Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing. In live chess settings there is an on/off option for engine evaluation

???? I don't believe such a feature exists

While playing there's no such option

I also experienced this today. The weird thing was why the glitch happened when I would win? But I never experiend this thing if I use shredderchess.net buddy. So try it out.

It might be someone doing that or the server might be lagging
