time manipulation - 5 min blitz

im sure this has been posted time and time again. I dont understand how some players get over 5 minutes on a 5 min game. the player was even able to add time to my clock. i have pictures( i cant post them from my mobile phone. ill have to dot it from my desktop). ive read about lag ect. but that is none sense because a drop out count down begins before they are droped from game. some ive heard of acusations of time cheaters but have also never read/ heard anyone admit to this.
im starting to believe there is such a rigged app mod. that is unspoken of.

If you are playing games with increment, the gets added to both players clocks. For example, 5|5 is 5 minute blitz with 5 seconds added per move.
thank for clarifying this. i had no clue why this was happening. will you please explain how to rid of this and change it back to normal.

You should be able to select different time controls when sending out a game seek
