Not that those are not good tips, but I am already currently working on those
Tips for getting better at blitz and bullet

Speed chess only gives you time for the patterns, evaluations, tactics, etc. that you know best.
The ones in your long term memory.
The ones you've played in G/120 OTB tournament games and spent hours analyzing afterwards.
I think you see where this is going...
To improve in blitz or bullet, first improve your chess in general by studying and playing in long time control games.
Then re-acclimate to the speed of fast chess by playing at least a few games in that time control per day.

yeah I don't disagree, the disparity between my otb rating and online bullet and blitz is just quite a bit larger than I would like

Rating doesn't drive playing strength. It tracks it. Improve your slow chess, and the rating will follow.

Then play your preferred blitz or bullet time control every day, for a few hours, for at least a month.
Don't be afraid of shitty moves. The point is to play safe / fast / tricky.
Pay attention to any time saving tricks. As a simple example you probably already know: sacrificial checks to break your opponent's premoves.
It helps me quite a lot to listen to loud music that I like. Usually music with a high tempo. This makes me less afraid of playing crappy moves.
If you made me listen to slow sweet music then my rating would probably drop 100-200 points.
If I had to play with no music at all, it might drop a little, but probably wouldn't rise.
Maybe music isn't your thing, the point is that mood matters.

I don't know if this works for everyone, but I find it useful to have a mindset where you generally avoid equal trades.
If you avoid equal trades it keeps the position complicated. Noob speed players tend to find this uncomfortable. Just keep the position complicated... but you don't have to necessarily have a plan. Just aim to keep them uncomfortable and keep playing fast.
As a simple example, move a lot of pieces near their king, like you'll sacrifice. Move them around in a circle near their king... then retreat.
All the while you don't waste even 1 second calculating a sacrifice or attack. Let them worry about that. All you're trying to do is be annoying.
If they respond by playing faster than you, then they're not calculating either. In that case go ahead and sacrifice...
I guess the point I'm trying to make is it's worth paying objectively bad moves if it compels your opponent to calculate. Stay safe + in instinct mode as long and as often as possible.

Most likely people with strong OTB with weak Bullets and blitz, have
poor time management and doing tactics for perfection.
As success of bullet/blitz is mainly based on prediction rather than accuracy, dont train tactics for perfection, but train tactics for probability.(guessing)
In this position, black to play, For blitz training guess this position for 10 secs and make a move.
For bullet training, guess this position for 2-5 secs and make a move.
Dont worry about wrong answer. Just attempt to play with your first move in your mind.
For example, in above diagram, for black,
1. I think black need to defend a7, pawn, so i will do b6
or I think black can do better move, and I will move something else.
That same position, you try to solve in 3 mins is useless in blitz , but the correct guess in 10 secs will give you massive improvement in blitz chess.
P.S Here are test suits for testing engine strength and an engine is allowed to use 10 secs for every position. If their first principal moves are incorrect, they usually fail the puzzles. But you can use any tactic positions anyway.

for bullet, play solid openings that u can premove in, prepare a trap or two in them.... don't blunder, don't think to long, I am for some reason dropping in bullet and am at 1900 (was in the 2100's for a long time). in blitz don't be to afraid to sac, but don't sac to often, no offence to bikfoot, but i would use him as an example of someone who sacs to much, but he is a good chess player so sometimes it works. Don't be like me and be bad at everything related at chess, otb, blitz, bullet and rapid.... im just to bad

This sounds like very good hints. I don't like that my much to play blitz, first because I am really bad on it, second and more importantly is that I feel like a drug addicted. But I am sure that playing a lot of blitz can help you to improve to find tactics in the game, but not bullet

I dislike that I said "objectively bad moves"... I just mean, you'd like your opponent to have to calculate more than you (of course), so playing inaccurate moves (as long as the position is still reasonable under control) is fine.
I started streaming recently and want to improve them by getting better at blitz and bullet. Does anyone have any tips, other than the simple play more and do more tactics?
