Tired Chess Tilt Addiction

Hello!

Does anyone else have a bad addiction with playing chess right before bed? The past 10-15 games or so I have played (as of this post) were all late an night and I lost pretty much every single one of them. I know I should not be playing late, but it is hard to help myself haha.

BTW, this has happened many times before: late chess, poor play, (usually) rebound the next day.

I mean, you knew it was gonna happen...

But yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes, you just wanna keep on playing, even when your losing a lot, because for some reason, you care more about playing than the result lol

Most of my matches are when I'm not alert enough to play properly. It doesn't make a lot of difference. Your rating will go back up pretty easily when you're not tired.

"I know I should not be playing late" ++ Then why do you do it?
Whenever you lose a game, stop playing and analyse it first.

Keep playing. At some point you’ll play better. Chess>sleep

Right above your post in the forums is this forum extension to set yourself a limit to how many games you play: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/avoid-addiction-or-tilt-from-chess-with-a-browser-extension

I have the same thing solving puzzles.  Not that I care about a puzzle rating (or any other) but if I'm tired, I can lose 200 points in a 25 puzzle session.  I'm limited to 25  puzzles per day with a gold account.  If I wait and do more when I am awake and really want to solve, there's a profound difference.

This is literally amazing! Thank you so much.

(It did not work just now because I simply changed the daily games to 15, so i still used a lot of time, but I really like the concept!
