A chess-playing woman with a pulse was beyond the wildest dreams of most of the chessplayers I knew in my tournament days.
To the guys: Do you look for chess in a girl?

I'm saving up for one of those Kramnik monkeys. Expensive but overall fewer problems (some feces throwing).

Not unlike playing at chess.com then.

It depends. If the girl is higher-rated than me, then no it's definitely a turn-off. But if she's lower-rated, then oh yes.

Hey Improv, I say "Yes, and" at some point in my life I realized I found smart women way more attractive than those that never seemed to try to cultivate their minds. So a chess playing woman-- not that I know many-- has always grabbed my attention.
Doesn't matter if she's good at chess or not, but I believe most men with a 3-digit IQ looks for a certain level of intelligence and/or common sense in a woman.
How about looking for girls in chess instead?
wow, i bet the rooks are going to cramp up pretty qickly. and really, the board should be padded for the pawns. anyone ever kneeled on a hard chess board for a long time? no fun.

I don't think chess in a girl is going to do it for me. She has to have the looks, the body, and, most importantly of all, a good personality (particularly one that I can get along with).
For all those men that I see when I go to tournaments, just out of curiosity, are female chess players a "wow we have similar interests" or are they a "ew she's going to end up with ugly warts and glasses let's avoid her" kinda thing?
Let's be nice :)
