Once I saw options to do things like draw lines plotting diagonals etc  so you could keep an eye on where different pieces could end up etc.  I can't find it again.  I'd like to, say, on my daily games, draw lines plotting possible trajectories of my own and opponents pieces - is that possible?  I've searched but can't find any info on this.   Many thanks

I know that seems a pretty definitive answer but I'm sure I've seen it somewhere.  Right click to highlight a square etc.  Maybe not on the daily games but somewhere else?

I like to call this "Destination check" almost all of my blown games come from hurried moves and not checking the destination square for traps and pins. Basic non-thinking.

yep it's exactly that - also, sometimes I've already worked out where say their bishop will be able to cover then I forget/overlook it in a move or two.  have you seen where it can be done?  it's not cheating is it?  i could do my own version but i'm sure there's a way to do it on chess.com already

For daily games I can draw arrows and highlight squares with right clicking.

For live games there is a switch in the live chess settings (not the home settings).

EDIT: An arrow/highlight switch was recently added to the home-live settings.

Right - I'm in daily games.  I can highlight squares by right clicking.  They turn red.  How do I draw lines and arrows please?

Press the right click button of the mouse and then trace the path of the arrow. For a trackpad, press the lower right corner and trace.

Great.  Thanks so much.  I knew I'd seen it.  Now, I think you can change the colours of the arrows?  So I could have one colour for me and one for my opponent?   Or am I getting a bit carried away now?  Cheers!

The arrows are only drawn in orange.

You can highlight squares in red (right click), green (shift, right click), or blue (alt, right click).
