Tournaments

I play chess once a week in a local club and was wondering if they'd come to me about playing in the tournaments when they think someone's ready? 

Well seeing that this is an original question and not more spam, i'll hand you your attention.

No matter the level you're at, you can always play in a tournament.  You can play in a division you think is appropriate.  You could sign up yourself or ask about tournaments in your club.  If you want to for fun, why would you be stopped?  Though if you feel you want would be better with more experience before playing in a tournament, put it further down the calendar.

I see. I've always wanted to play in more tournaments sometime in the future. Would be good. I've never played with a clock timer in an OTB game (so in theory the opponent could lose if their clock runs out of time).
