I can't help, but feel that some of his success can be attributed to people, becoming actively nervous during games against him due to his celebrity status? I also am very insulted at his comments about the chess community being losers if their not GM level after years of play. Not everyone has 15 hrs a day to devote to one game and if the community here did I doubt Tyler would be at 1900. With that said he seems to be a natural talent at pattern recognition. I hope everyone who plays him will attempt to humble him, because his attitude towards chess players seems incredibly disrespectful. Is he just a natural genius at chess?, perhaps he will make it to Gm status? I can't help, but feel both inspired and insulted by him at the same time...
