type's of tournaments

What are considered to be highclass and low class tournaments

some that come to mind as strong tournaments are any tournaments that have the word Nationals,International,or Interzonal', anything that has the word championship's some that are cosidered weak or avaerage class that come to mind are weekend open's QUAD type tournaments

Please add more It's actually important that I know about these high and low class tournaments.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but the higher the category of tournament, the better the average rating of the field is.  Here's a link showing that.  As far as high class and low class tournament... do you mean the super-elite circuit the pros run year to year like Lineres or Corus?  I mean, it would be hard to separate all tournaments into either high or low class.  Besides well known tournaments like those you can find closed tournaments in different areas where for example only masters and above are invited.  To a player like me a 8 member closed RR master tourney is pretty high class -- to top  GMs it just isn't.

Maybe you could say any tournament that is at least category 1 (avg rating of at least 2251) is high class.

thatas about right accept that when it comes to strong player's FM is usually considered strong to most.
