Ultimate guide to Bongcloud opening

This is a new variation; the Bongcloud Gambit. White gives up his king for compensation in the form of no development and only one pawn move. Note the players in this historic game and the incredible difference in rating which shows even amateurs can win with this opening
.
Why the heck did WINhelm lose to LOSSker??
I thought the Bongcloud could bring the victory to him...

Obviously Winhelm had intended on using the Bongcloud as a psychological weapon even if he lost during their match so that he could tire Lasker out in the latter's dire need of preparation against the various Bongcloud lines back in the days where they never had large databases of Bongcloud games. Unfortunately, Winhelm underestimated Lasker's youth and integrity in learning the Bongcloud, resulting in a fatal loss in the 12th game against the very Bongcloud line he had played
.
Ummm ruby7... this is a serious analysis thread. Come back with a game where Winhelm uses his Bongcloud gambit to win.

What? But Lossker was a much better player than Winhelm in the Bongcloud. The only variation Winhelm played was the Bongcloud Gambit which required the sacriface of the king, mainly used as a psychological weapon against masters.

i spent like half an hour trying to post something that didn't post.... I hate how hard it is to post an analysis....
What is the point of this? The Bongcloud is the worst opening in chess. Ke2 blocks the bishop and queen and opens the king and e4 to attack.

Alas, my friend. Seeing this post, I realize that you truly require a vigorous education on chess.
First of all, After 1.e4, the d3 and f3 squares are weakend. With 2.Ke2, these weak points are deftly bolstered in.
Second, it utilizes prophylaxis against developing either your Queen or Bishop prematurely.
Third, with 2.Ke2 your king is mobilized, and once the pieces rapidly come off the board, white will have the more active king in the endgame.

a sublime explination. the more subtle poits of the opening brought to light from under a veil of smoke. the mysterious bongcloud has entranced another young master it seems. the bongcloud, as pointed out in the quote, is an opening of the future. always looking forward toward the ending never backwards toward the start.
#53 - Shirley white won on move 40 with the white king getting to the other side of the board, dued ?

so the whole point of the bongcloud is to get the king to the other side? interesting. i might try it out
this was incredibly entertaining.
