Pretty sure Fischer would be the kind of asshole to suggest that a 1000 rated player doesn't have an ideas in the first place! But anyway, what you are looking for (or something like it) is called online chess on this site. They are still timed, but you can make the timer really long (~15 days) You can see it under the play tab at the top of the screen.

Well Fischer is right. im above 1000 and i still have absolutly no ideas. Well at least i hope im above 1000 you can never know, maybe people have too much mercy to let me lose.
Fischer is brutally honest and that is a good think. look at the movie the lower depths from akira kurosawa. there is an old man he tells totally nice story, he tells to the drunkyard dont worry you can still fulfill you dreams and become an actor you just have to give up drinking... he does it all the time and when the people find out that it was just a fairy tale they commite suicide. Sometimes the truth hurts at first very much, but in the long run it hurts way less, i think Fischer was a really nice a*****.

You can extend the amount of time in online games to some obese amount like 15 days if you wish, but no there are no untimed games.

I found the 3 day per move chess to be ideal. It gives you a couple of days in case you want a weekend away from the computer, yet most games actually involve several moves a day, especially in opening play. Then you have all of 3 days to look over a position and work out your choices.
Hello I was wondering if this website allows you to play any un-timed chess games. I just signed up and the longest game I can play seems to be 30 minutes. I don't like fast chess because I personally think it doesn't make you a better player. I apologize if this question has already been answered.
