I'm not sure about the value but I'm sure it's worth quite a lot. Do not sell it, keep it since you got it from your Grandpa or wait few more years then it will be worth more.
Unique chess set
Thanks for the advice! To be honest I have a lot of stuff from my grandpa and because I`m the only one in the family who appreciate things like these and I dont have anybody to leave it, I`m thinking to sell. Of course only if I get a good offer!

Ohh alright I see. It's up to you if you want to keep it for a while or sell it. My opinion is to keep it since it looks precious and valuable.

woah I would pay way more than 200, 200 doesn't even cover a real staunton official FIDE board.
But I can't afford anything too high. . .
:) Belive me I will keep it for 200. I had a 4 digit in my mind, but like I said I have no clue, but if I`m not getting what`s in my mind I will keep it! I agree with manspider! I think it`s worth more than that! Nice try! :)
Yeah, it's worth quite a bit more than 200. I would imagine a 4 digit number if it's authentic. The problem is these are very difficult to sell. I wouldn't try eBay, though you might do it, sitting with a high reserve or starting bid until someone bites. I don't know if Luke Honey would be interested in this set. http://www.lukehoney.co.uk/ He only normally sells older stuff, but this one is unique. You might try him, otherwise selling directly to a collector, for an example Dermot Rochford might be interested... this seems like the kind of set he *might* like: http://www.chessantiquesonline.com/ I mean, *I* like it, but I'm not prepaired to pay what you'd like. Good luck.

Thanks! I will try to contact them!

Hi I would love to use your pictures on my website chessforchildren.com maybe you can get some buzz and I can educate some kids at the same time?

Your bishop looks like a knight. Ok, it was meant to be a joke. Anyway, I think you should set up the board correctly with with square on the lower-right and bishops and knights swap positions. Then take a picture.
Nm go ahead and use it.
Mgx, I still have it and I will take an other picture soon and upload it.
I didn’t have too much time to go after some collectors or auctions. Anyway if someone knows anybody who might be interested about it let me know . Thanks guys and Merry Christmas
I would like to get some help! I have a uniqe chess set from 1949 when my grandpa served some time in a political prison with a sculpter and they made a chess board and chess figures. The figures are from bread and smut. Anybody can tell me the value of this rare set?
