I would first like to apologize profusely for my woefully lackluster misbehavior. I posted a rant thread that did nobody any good. I'm sorry, and I hope the nice gentleman who owns a chess shop is willing to forgive me for being so rude to him.

I bought a DOHM NSF to help me focus(I have High-Functioning Autism, AKA, Asperger's Syndrome) And I have been very pleased with the results. Now about it's potential to help us improve our focus while playing chess or doing our chess homework. I feel that any serious chess player who has even the slightest focus deficit, should buy this. It costs 60 USD at Bed Bath & Beyond, you can order it online or go to the store and turn it on before you buy it. But I think that the basic principles for building a good study atmosphere would be significantly enhanced with this, and, personally, it has been crucial in sleep, focus, and sanity. Now, there are digital loop white noise machines, but those things break when  you look at them funny, and they are quite more expensive, and they don't sound as pleasing to the ears. The DOHM NSF is a white noise FAN. It is in the form of an oblong cream or white dome, it plugs into the wall. You put it in the corner of the room, turn it on, and it fills the room with the sound of steady, rushing air. You can change the pitch and volume by mechanically turning various parts, ya know, to change the acoustics of the air. the speed is changed via a switch on the front. It looks great on a mahogany bookshelf, and it works great as a study tool. If you take me seriously, which I hope you will, this will improve your focus when it comes to studying, sleep, and your Chess life. :-) ---J'adoube!!!
