Used to be able to highlight squares, now I can't. Anyone have a fix for this?

I used to be able to highlight squares with right clicking.  Now, nothing highlights when I right click.  I've verified the "right click draws arrows and highlights" is enabled, and I've also toggled it on and off saving each time.  Still, can't highlight.

There is also a weird issue where I sometimes can't draw arrows from certain squares.  Frequently this is on the bottom rank of the chess board on the screen, whether white or black.

I'm using Chrome on Win10

Are you in the Play interface?

I'm struggling with this too. I follow along with chess.com's YouTube tutorials on how to use the classroom feature and everything works except the highlighting and line drawing. I've tried different browsers. I'm not sure what's wrong.

Did you enable it in your settings?

Thanks for the idea! It seems really promising but the classroom settings don't seem to have that option. I've attached a partial screenshot that shows where I'm clicking: the little settings gear in the middle of the screen. That brings up a different menu than the one in the link you gave me. I wonder if there are settings somewhere else in the website I need to go to. This is a good lead. Thanks again!

I found the help link, which says that I need to enable it in the live chess settings here: https://www.chess.com/play/online/settings. But it looks like the option is no longer available! Is it like that for you too?

Try it under the main site settings. Settings > Live Chess

That worked! For anyone else who has trouble, the setting is at the bottom of this screenshot.

Bizarrely enough, I've changed the setting but I still can't highlight or draw arrows, even when I follow the tutorial step by step. I've tried different browsers and resetting my computer too. The problem persists 😕

No, you shouldn't need premium to do either.
