Using Analysis Board during daily games....

What is everybody’s thoughts on this?

I played a 1300 on daily chess, and lost... I was surprised when I checked the game report and he had 95% accuracy... his only “not best moves” where after the game was effectively over and he missed forced mate. This can’t be right.

Other than using an engine, I can only assume he was using the analysis board during the game and on every move.

Personally I do not use the analysis board and try to calculate variations in my head, as if OTB. However is this the norm... and I missing out and is everyone else using the analysis board on every move?

Are there any rules that say you can or can’t use the analysis board during a game?

I’d been keen to hear people’s thoughts.

Thanks... Greg

Meh. I can score 98 one game and 17 the next. Go through your opponents games and see if 95+ accuracies are the norm. If they are, file a report.

In b4 the lock.

Analysis boards are absolutely allowed in Daily games. As are opening books/game databases, videos, and other static material. Engines, tablebases and asking other people is not.

Most all Daily players make use of an analysis board. That’s the entire point.
Players should learn how to read/ interpret the quick evaluation tool that’s available at the end of games. The “accuracy” score can be very misleading. 95% means very little when making any conclusion regarding fair play.

In fact, in the game that you make accusation thereof - the tool says “one player was winning (you) for several moves and then threw it away”.
