He took playing for Gambits too far.
Was Bobby Fischer really annoyed by outside sounds in "Pawn Sacrifice"?

the movie while leaving out some important subtle details really was based off Fischers "view" of the events and how he was always being paranoid and disturbed by small things so yes its real

He didn't like pet sounds, but I thought it was quite a good album.
Wouldn’t it be nice?

I think he was, to some extent, bothered by outside sounds and other distractions, but he also used a lot of excuses to try getting leverage over his competition.
For example, Spassky lost his first game to Fischer when the organizers agreed to Fischer's demand to play off-stage, in a back room. It upset Spassky psychologically and he was unable to recover for the rest of the match.
Fischer is/was (same difference) a racist and lied about the value of Bishops. Turn on the afterburners and forget he existed.

He was annoyed by everything. If he were around today and on this site there'd be some lively threads and block parties galore.
