Was there a way forward?

Well, 1...f3 is the only chance to win but just Bxf3 and after Kf4 Be4+ and it's still a draw.
Would like to see what the computer recommends.
Rg3-Re3-Rxe4 with your king landing on e4 with a passed D pawn looks winning.
edited to get the corrdinates correct.
Wasn't a variation provided with the bishop taking instead of the pawn? Looks like a nice pawn sacrifice to me.
The endgame looks totally drawn. Throwing it into an engine yields piece shuffling until 50 move rule.

It would have been worth trying CoffeCat's idea. But it only works if white plays 6.Bd5. White could have just as easily played 6.Be2, and the position stays locked.
Yes, upon reflection, the bishop can simply sit passively and shuffle on the protection of the d-pawn - and there is no progress to be made. That being said I played around with the position against the chess.com computer for a bit, and it does eventually blunder the win; or at least it did so for me, at any rate, so perhaps there was potential for your opponent to make a mistake by playing on. 46.Kf3 Ke5 47.Bd5 Rf6 48.Kg4 Rg6+ 49.Kf3 Rg3+ 50.Ke2 Re3+ 51.Kd2 Kd6 52.Bf3 Ke5 53.Bd5 Kf5 54.Bf3 Kg5 55.Kc2 Re1 56.Kd2 Ra1 57.Kc2 Kf5 58.Be4+ Ke5 59.Bf3 Ra2+ 60.Kd1 b5 61.cxb5 Rb2 62.b6 Rxb3 63.b7 Kd6 64.Be4 Kc7 65.Kc2 Rb4 66.Bd5 Rxa4 67.Kb3 Rb4+ 68.Ka3 Rxb7 69.Ka4 Rb4+ 70.Ka3 Kd6

1) ..., Kh6 looks interesting. Followed by 2)...,Rf6.
I think you want to limit the white bishops activity to the h1-a8 diagonal
Rook to g3 ideas look good.
So does exchanging the rook for the bishop on e4 winning the d-pawn possibilities. Just ideas, black has got tempo & opposition w/ Kh6.
Ultimately, I think black can Queen the a-pawn. Or at least that would be my OTB plan & make my opponent prove me wrong.
I just drew a game. I was 2 points ahead in material, chess.com's after game computer analysis gave me a 2.6 point advantage. But at them time and now looking at the position more deeply I don't see a way I could have broken through or made any progress.
I see several ways I could sacrafice pawns, but none of them result in an improved position. Is this just a draw or was there a plan I just couldn't see? (Black to move.)
